About Benchmark Capital: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Accounts Assistant to join our Accounting and Finance team at Benchmark Capital. This entry-level position is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates who have a keen interest in pursuing a career in accounting and finance. The Location: You'll be based at our Schroders Campus near Horsham in West Sussex. Key Responsibilities: Ensure invoices are received, input and filed efficiently. Import and Reconcile bank statements Credit control of sale ledger and dealing with other ledger queries Assist with the onboarding of new vendors including carrying out bank account verification calls Monitor debtors and creditors Assist with raising payment and BACS files within the bank Assist with employee expenses and credit card transactions - reconciliation, queries and posting into the ledger Assist with post-acquisition novation of suppliers and other elements Assist with accruals and prepayments as well as journal entries Ad-hoc reporting and reconciliations to assist the accounting team Ad-hoc archiving and administrative tasks Assisting with audits, and resolving discrepancies Batch reconciliations between Enable CRM system and Xero Provide administrative support to the accounting team as needed. Qualifications: A recent graduate with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Strong interest in pursuing a career in accounting or finance. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus. Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
