Within a multi-disciplinary environment, assist in the delivery of a comprehensive programme of secondary/primary prevention of cardiovascular disease and other cardiac diagnoses. The programme will be delivered within the Wirral Heart Centres across the St Catherine's Health Centre, Victoria Central Health Centre and West Kirby Marine Lake sites. The post will require performing ECGs, taking basic measurements such as height, weight and blood pressure. Excellent communication skills and an ability to work in a team and to direction is essential. Using initiative and having excellent organisation skills is key. Team work is a major feature of this role and the ability to work and communicate with a diverse and multidisciplinary team.
Main duties of the job

Person Specification
Qualifications and Professional Training
* Nursing Associate Foundation Degree or equivalent training/experience.
* GCSE Grade A-C Maths and English or skills level 2 Maths and English or equivalent.
* Basic Life Support certification.
* Registered Nursing Associate on NMC register.
Experience of Knowledge
* Understanding of the scope of the Nursing Associate role.
* Knowledge of cardiovascular rehabilitation and associated treatments.
* Experience working in teams as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
* Experience within community settings.
Skills and Attributes
* Ability to organise and prioritise own workload.
* Effective communication with patients and team members.
* Ability to develop relationships with patients and colleagues.
Personal Qualities
* Empathetic and able to deal with sensitive information.
* Access to a car for work purposes.
