Home Maintenance Service Co-ordinator
Note: Clean current UK Driving licence essential, as is the ability to drive with trailer attached.
Main Duties
1. Plan work schedules in advance for service handypersons and work placements ensuring maximisation of service output / income.
2. Liaise with the organisations administrator RE operation of the service database, managing waiting lists, referrals and the production of job sheets as well as recording service income on a job by job basis.
3. Represent the organisation during meetings and exchanges with external partners and funding agencies.
4. Contribute to and participate in meetings and negotiations with external agencies.
5. Undertake directly and indirectly through handyperson, promotion of the service to both individual service users and partner agencies.
6. Ensure activities and planned future activities match with the strategic objectives of both Muirshiel and partner/ funding agencies.
7. Provide a support service including general household and garden maintenance to older people registered with the service as per service work plans.
8. Assess work requested as to feasibility with reference to project service objectives.
9. Undertake van driving duties as required by the service, including use of trailer.
10. Ensure that safe practices are implemented during all works undertaken.
11. Provide mentoring and skill development opportunities for individuals hosted in work placements within the service.
12. Participate in skills development opportunities relevant to your role and or organisational development.
13. Ensure that preventative maintenance repairs are carried out on both the project transport and equipment.
14. Ensure confidentiality of service user information.
15. Ensure good recordkeeping in respect to service user’s financial contributions towards service costs.
16. Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the Service Manager.
A PVG is required. The PVG Scheme assesses if an individual, working or intending to work with vulnerable adults in a regulated role is suitable.
