About this Role
Are you looking for flexible work? Wanting to earn some extra money on the odd days you are free? Ever thought about covering Teaching Assistants that are off sick / on training?
As a Bank Staff member, you will be supporting children in our small classes with their daily routine at school including activities such as meal times and outdoor play.
The children and young people you will be supporting have autism, learning disabilities, physical disabilities or communication barriers. Depending on the needs of each pupil, some will require support with personal care and/or moving and handling. You will be required to build rapport with the pupils and provide positive reinforcement to increase their confidence and self-esteem.
Vale of Evesham School caters for 182 pupils aged 4 to 19 years, who have moderate, severe, and profound learning difficulties. Many of our pupils have other barriers to their learning including autism, challenging behaviour, physical disabilities, and complex health needs.
Applicants will need energy and enthusiasm, and the ability to work in a busy environment. The work can be challenging, but watching the progress of the pupils can also be extremely rewarding.
The successful candidate will:
* Be available from 9.00am to 3.00pm on any day(s) between Monday and Friday.
* Be passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs.
* Have experience within a school, residential or similar setting supporting young people or adults.

Vale of Evesham School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. Successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check with child and adult barred list checks under the arrangements established by the Disclosure & Barring Service, pre-employment health screening and obtaining of satisfactory references by the school. You will also be required to prove you are eligible to work in the UK. In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance, the Trust may conduct online searches of any shortlisted applicants.
