Description Our people are at the heart of Wincanton. That’s where you come in, as a HR People Advisor. Supporting our operation with HR expertise, from colleague onboarding, coaching Line Managers on HR policies/ people training and ER case management. Our People Team work in collaboration onsite with our operational leaders to provide efficient guidance on all matters relating to HR. If you’re keen to utilise your HR leadership experience and want to be a part of our team, that will allow you to stretch and grow your overall responsibility, then we want to hear from you The role is based on site at our Sainsburys Distribution centre in Northampton, our People team support 550 colleagues on site here. Salary £30,000 - £35,000 p.a How will you contribute? Providing high quality advice and generalist People / HR support Manage the ER caseload, advising on legislative and company policy and procedures in an efficient manner Develop effective on-going relationships at all levels establishing yourself as a credible, respected and valued People Advisor, responding to queries directly and influencing Managers to follow a best practice approach Assist departmental Managers on the interpretation and implementation of company policies and procedures as well as local agreements Support the delivery of the People plan for the year, making adjustments where required to suit the business Compile and analyse MI Assist in the coaching, mentoring and development of the management team What will you bring? Proven HR experience in similar fast paced and busy role Proven and demonstrable skills in providing pragmatic, tailored HR advice Experience of ER and supporting managers with employee relations issues CIPD Level 5 qualified or desire to work towards Competent knowledge of UK employment law Must have excellent organisational skills and initiative, with the ability to manage the day-to-day HR processes effectively.
