Creative Instructor - Summer - Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire
Hours of work: 08:30 – 17:30
Salary: £412.00 – £559.17 per week depending on age, internal/external experience, and qualifications.
Reportable to: Camp Senior Team, Area Manager and Central Office

CREATIVE INSTRUCTOR DUTIES
* Set up and maintain your Arts & Crafts/ Dance & Drama areas to be suitable and inviting for the children.
* Follow policies and procedures to ensure the children in your care have fun in a safe environment.
* Use available resources to plan and deliver a variety of exciting and safe creative activities that are age appropriate.
* Provide safety instructions and demonstrations of equipment while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
* Work alongside other staff members who may assist with your sessions.
* Take responsibility for general welfare and safeguarding.
* Ensure the needs of the children are met with active supervision throughout the day.
* Create prototypes to display for your art sessions.
* Encourage maximum participation of the children.
* Maintain a tidy site/base rooms and ensure all equipment is packed away.
REQUIREMENTS
* Experience in a creative background.
* Aged 18 or over by the start date of your contract.
* Eligible to work in the UK.
* Provide satisfactory professional/academic references.
* Enthusiastic, caring, and organized with excellent communication skills.
* Obtain an enhanced DBS check through Barracudas or have an existing enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
* Attend a Virtual Assessment Event if new to Barracudas.
* Complete Online Training annually.
* Attend Induction Training Day ahead of your first working season.
* Follow child protection policy regarding the use of Camp Tablet/Kindle for music.
* Assist with pack up at the end of camp.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
* Ensure the company fulfills all Health and Safety obligations.
* Organize and deliver activities appropriate for the children in your care.
* Encourage children to participate in new activities.
* Ensure the children behave safely and communicate daily about codes of behavior.
* Follow all camp systems, including registration and collection procedures.
* Be a positive role model by promoting a healthy lifestyle and good hygiene.
* Report any concerns regarding Child Protection to your Senior Team.
* Make reasonable adjustments for children with additional needs.
* Support swimming sessions as required.
* Perform different tasks as necessitated by your role within the organization.
