Who are we looking for?
Burton and South Derbyshire College are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Musical Theatre tutor holding a relevant teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) and a BA (Hons) Degree in Musical Theatre/Performing Arts or equivalent. You should be able to motivate and provide outstanding support for learners.
You will be expected to teach across the Level 2, 3 and our HE programmes with specific responsibility for overseeing the Level 3 Musical Theatre course. You will have a strong knowledge of Musical Theatre Repertoire and focus on Singing, Acting and some Dance skills, as well as involvement in the production of our annual musical theatre performance.
We will need you to be flexible throughout the term and self-motivated with a dedication to student achievement and quality. Good organisational and planning skills are essential and preferably some industry experience.
Applicants should be qualified to, Level 2 English and Maths. Evidence of qualifications is required.
