Transport Safety Business Partner Location: Head Office (Hyde Road, M12 4AH). Flexibility to travel to other depots; Wythenshawe, Tameside and Sharston. Hours: Full time permanent contract 38 hours per week (flexibility required to align with operational needs) We are recruiting for a brand new position of Transport Safety Business Partner to join as an integral member of the Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) Team, reporting directly to the Head of SHEQ and collaborating with other SHEQ Business Partners and specialists. The primary function of this role is to effectively reduce the number and cost of collisions, and maintain and improve the driving standards across the organisation within a results focussed environment. Advise and assist all staff, Managers and Metroline Manchester Senior Leaders on all matters relating to Transport Safety within the post holder’s competence level and experience. Build and maintain key relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as TfGM with the overall aim of working in partnership where appropriate. Perform Drugs and Alcohol tests on behalf of the Company either at a manager’s request following impairment suspicions or when needed following a Road Traffic Collision or Personal Injury incident. Ensure the incident/collision information is recorded correctly, maintained up to date and displaying the information within each site to the agreed format/style. Retrieve CCTV data from any Metroline vehicle involved in an incident at the scene or elsewhere and to assist the emergency services in viewing the CCTV either at the scene or in an office environment. Regularly report to senior management teams on safety performance against KPIs and improvement planning as required. About you Chartered Member of IOSH or working towards Accredited by the Driving Standards Agency to conduct Driving Assessments to BTEC standard. Understanding of relevant Health and Safety legislation. Good working knowledge of all Company PCV requirements and legislation, including disability awareness. Previous experience of managing Transport Safety in a substantial and complex organisation. Experience in the implementation of SHEQ management systems, thereby ensuring that statutory obligations are fulfilled, and risks are minimised. Experience in data analysis and senior report writing to evaluate Safety Performance
