Job Overview
The SET CAMHS Crisis and Therapeutic Home Treatment team offer assessment and interventions to young people presenting with mental deterioration or crisis presentations. As a service, we work within the Thrive model and implement collaborative care plans with our community services and community SET CAMHS team to promote positive outcomes for vulnerable young people and their families. There are opportunities for joint working and coordinating alongside the community-based teams.
Main Duties of the Job
In this post, you will be regarded as a senior member of the team and will lead in the oversight and management of clinical practice within your local area while also inputting into service development across Essex, Southend, and Thurrock. You will work closely alongside an operational senior practitioner for peer support and will feedback to management regularly via meetings and case discussions. This position will involve a focus on developing therapeutic outcomes for young people and families who are receiving care under the pathway and developing resources and training to improve and monitor clinical effectiveness.
Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities
The office base for this post will be within the North Essex area (Colchester) but the service covers Essex wide, making use of agile working. The service provides the latest in evidence-based NICE compliant psychological interventions to children and young people with mental health difficulties and complex needs. As an integral member of the multi-disciplinary team you will:
* Have enthusiasm and drive to be part of a senior management team responsible for nurturing and developing the service at this exciting time.
* Work in conjunction with the senior clinicians and managers to support the delivery of timely and effective evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
* Provide specialist assessments where appropriate, which will inform interventions with children, young people, and their families.
* Be directly involved in delivering and formulating a range of therapeutic interventions.
* Provide consultation and training to support both junior team members and external professionals.
* Provide supervision support and education to junior members of the team.
Qualification Criteria
This post would be suitable for a post-graduate qualified psychological practitioner (e.g., clinical psychologist, family therapist, child and adolescent psychotherapist) who is fully registered with the appropriate professional or regulatory body such as HCPC, BABCP, UKCP, AFT, ACP) with experience working with high-risk client groups.
