The successful candidate will play an integral role in the day-to-day repairs and maintenance of the Housing Stock within an allocated neighbourhood.
You will collaborate closely with the Housing Options team and contractors to ensure safe, first-class repair and management services to tenants and leaseholders, overseeing responsive repairs, maintenance, and void property refurbishment.
Main purpose of the role:
To specify, procure, let, and manage contracts from inception to completion.
You will oversee the work of contractors and consultants, ensuring responsive work, planned, and cyclical maintenance programs are delivered to quality, on time, and within budget.
Oversee the provision of responsive repairs, maintenance, and void property refurbishment services to residents.
Be responsible for repairs services and the condition of the Housing Stock in the allocated neighbourhood.
Survey properties and related assets to identify repair work needed and future investment requirements to ensure assets fulfill their functions without detriment to residents and users.
Play a key role in developing the housing service.
Package:
- 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Salary: £35,601 - £47,516 per annum, depending on qualifications, skills, and experience
- Driving licence and access to a car required to attend properties in North Folkestone and Central Hythe, with mileage paid at £0.45 per mile
Qualifications:
- Flexibility is preferred, but ideally a Building or Surveying QS qualification – HNC, HND, or equivalent
