Food Business Lecturer Rate of Pay: £19.55 per hour
Start Date: As soon as possible
Duration: T his is a temporary post, initially up a period to 9 months

Food business Lecturer Hours:
Normally, Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm.
Part time hours will be considered
The vacancy will require some work outside normal office hours, including evenings and weekends. The post will also require the successful applicant to have access to a form of transport which will permit him/her to meet the travel requirements of the vacancy in full.
Job Duties:
Lecturing and assessing students/trainees/lifelong learning programme participants in the selected subject(s) in accordance with the standards of the course validating body/College requirements through:
a) Planning, organising and delivering learning sessions in line with required standards;
b) Preparing information handouts/teaching materials required to develop learners in the skills and knowledge relating to the subject area;
c) Planning, marking and recording assessments within agreed deadlines;
d) Assessing the ability of the learners
e) Evaluating assessment results and providing feedback to learners;
f) Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety Codes of Practice and other College protocols at all times; and
g) Attending all meetings as required associated with the management of the course and provide feedback to programme managers as appropriate.
Essential Experience & Qualifications required: The applicant must possess an Honour’s degree qualification in a food, business or related discipline.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Previous experience of delivering education courses and assessing student learning would be beneficial.
