Are you a level 2 Qualified Nursery Assistant looking for a new role in an NHS Nursery who are part of an “Outstanding” rated Trust?

Here at Jack in the Box in Slough, we are looking for a Nursery Assistant to join us on a full-time basis.
We are a team of hard-working professionals ranging from Nursery Trainees to Degree Level practitioners and we are looking for like-minded individuals who are passionate about providing a stimulating, friendly, and caring environment for the children in our care.
As a level 2 Nursery Assistant, you will support a Nursery Nurse with a group of children whom you will provide daily care and activities as well as assisting in the completion of developmental reviews. We offer care and education for children, from 6 months old, up until they start school in Reception. You will be expected to maintain the standards of care and learning opportunities for the children in a safe and stimulating environment, supporting the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Being owned by the NHS, our nurseries come highly recommended by families and the standard of care demonstrated for all children links to the expectations that the NHS portray worldwide.
We offer full day care for 51 weeks per year, Monday to Friday, in which you will work on a rota basis for hours per week.
Main duties of the job
* To provide the best possible care and stimulation for the children of the nursery, meeting their physical, intellectual, emotional, and social needs in a non-discriminatory manner.
* To work in partnership with parents and encourage their involvement in the aims of the nursery and in all aspects of their child’s care.
* To provide and maintain records as necessary and appropriate, in line with the EYFS Statutory Framework.
* To attend training courses to ensure that modern, innovative, and forward-looking practices are maintained and to allow for personal career development.
* To assist in the daily domestic management of the nursery; ensuring that the nursery is kept safe, secure, and clean at all times.

* NVQ 2 in childcare or equivalent qualification in line with those listed on the ‘qualification finder’ section.
