A primary school in the Blackburn area are currently looking to recruit a talented individual for the role of SEN Support Assistant to provide exciting, educational experiences to pupils across KS1. This school works closely alongside parents, students and the community with the intention of achieving solid, trusted relationships. Many of their students possess unique talents and abilities which the provision successfully promotes and nurtures. This role would be 8.30am-3.30pm Monday – Friday, term time only until the end of the academic year (July 2025). Relevant qualifications are preferred (e.g. Level 2/ Level 3 education-based qualification) however not essential.
Within this role, you will be expected to create positive relationships with pupils with a range of special educational needs and encourage positive choices and behaviour. You will be providing additional support for children with additional needs including ASC, Global Developmental Delay and SCLN. The majority of these pupils will have an EHCP however a few pupils going through the diagnosis process.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
