If Only is a multi award-winning, luxury tour operator that focuses on 5 Star resorts and some unique handpicked properties around the world. We create bespoke holidays and cruises in Arabia, the Indian Ocean, USA, Canada, the Caribbean, Mexico, Australasia, Far East, India and Sri Lanka.
Based in Glasgow’s city centre, we specialise in providing travel agents with packaged holidays, from indulgent beach getaways to complex multi-destination itineraries. Established in 2001, If Only has grown from a ‘one man band’ to a multi-award-winning organisation with over 70 staff based in our modern city offices.
We are 100% trade focused, selling our holidays through travel agents. We are passionate about the travel trade and as we expand, we plan to become the UK and Ireland’s favourite trade only operator.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for many of our valued travel agent partners, the Reservations Sales Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer experiences while driving strong sales performance. This position requires a confident, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic individual who can expertly sell high-end European holiday packages and consistently exceed customer expectations.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Sales Excellence: Consistently meet and exceed KPIs in revenue, margin, and conversion rates.
* Customer Experience: Provide exceptional service with every interaction, ensuring every travel agent receives the highest level of support and expertise.
* Tailor-Made Travel: Craft bespoke European travel packages, combining flights (scheduled/charter), transfers, excursions, and more.
* Product Expertise: Use in-depth knowledge of European destinations to offer unique, high-quality recommendations that set us apart from competitors.
* Booking Management: Accurately input all booking details into our systems, ensuring a smooth and professional handover to other departments.
* Follow-Up: Respond to all sales inquiries promptly and effectively, delivering clear and comprehensive information.
* Continuous Learning: Participate in FAM trips, product training, and team knowledge-sharing sessions to stay ahead of the curve.
* Team Support: Collaborate closely with colleagues, offering guidance and encouragement to help achieve team goals.
* Crisis Support: Step in during operational issues, supporting the business in line with company procedures.
* Platform Proficiency: Confidently use GDS and other tools to research, price, and quote itineraries.

* Experienced: At least 2 years in a travel industry role, ideally in high-end European sales.
* Detail-Oriented: Accuracy is second nature to you, especially when managing complex itineraries.
* Customer-Focused: You approach every call with empathy, professionalism, and a desire to delight.
* Proactive: You don’t wait for answers—you seek them out. You learn fast and adapt even faster.

* Technically Skilled: Confident using Microsoft Office and GDS.
* Communicative: You’re articulate, both verbally and in writing, and able to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

* Brand Ambassador: You represent If Only Holidays with pride—at events, in training sessions, and with every interaction.
Qualifications:
* At least 2 years of recent experience in luxury travel planning and booking
* Strong knowledge of luxury travel destinations and experiences
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Customer service-oriented
* Proficiency in travel booking software and applications
