We are looking for a Logistics Team Leader to join our busy and growing organisation. The Team Leader will support the Logistics department in achieving high levels of safety, quality, efficiency, productivity and accuracy across all activities within the Dispatch, Accessories, Goods In, and Transport functions, ensuring they are completed in line with available resources, as per process and within budget. Key responsibilities: Maintain a safe working environment and promote adherence to health and safety procedures & regulations including COSHH. Identify and address non-conformance issues with team members and complete Accident/Near-Miss Investigations in a timely manner including implementation of corrective actions. Management of your team – Allocation of workload, talent development including training and succession planning, and HR related tasks including PeopleXD, RTW (Return to Work), PIP (Performance Improvement Plans), absence reviews, and investigations. Review, create and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for your deployed area. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects, working closely with stakeholders at all levels. Capture and report departmental performance metrics relevant to your deployed area, ensuring data accuracy and transparency. Escalate plan risks in a timely manner, especially if SLA’s are at risk of being missed, and propose solutions to mitigate issues. Conduct audits of work area quality, Gemba processes, and raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) as necessary, escalating findings to the relevant department. Support and audit the 5S program within your area, ensuring organisational standards are met. Support the Stock Controller with addressing stock inaccuracies and assist with daily stock checks, including coil counts and verifying accessories inventory to maintain accuracy in stock levels. Required experience/skills/qualifications: Two years work experience within a warehouse/dispatch environment PC Literate Good level of experience in operating in SAP / WMS Previous supervisory experience Desirable: Counterbalance forklift licence Lean Six Sigma Experience with 5’s standards and auditing Health & Safety qualification Management qualification Strong personality The ability to build and maintain a successful team.
