Purpose of the Role Join the Technical Conformity team as the Functional Manager – Change Management where you'll lead a team to deliver the requirements of hardware and software change management processes for the Technical Conformity department. In this vital role you will be responsible to ensure the change management processes are delivered to time, quality and cost and that all relevant Certification Engineers are aligned with the outputs from a technical perspective. You will also be responsible to plan and manage the Technical Conformity vehicle fleet. Reporting into the Head of Project Delivery & Compliance your main responsibilities include; Accountable for the hardware change management process, ensuring quality and timely review of change requests for certification relevance and providing an appropriate response Accountable for the software change management process, ensuring that all software changes are assessed in relation to certification relevance and responded to in a quality and timely manner Deliver the requirements of the software update management system by reviewing change requests and recording responses Representing Technical Conformity in the business software integration forums and ensuring the implications of software changes are understood Accountable for planning and management of the Technical Conformity Fleet of vehicles, ensuring vehicles are built to the correct specification, are suitably prepared for certification test requirements and shipped to test locations Responsible to lead cross functional problem solving to operational issues that arise, manage risks and escalate and make recommendations to senior management Responsible to develop and influence the strategic direction of the processes within the team including project managing continuous improvement activities Build and maintain relationships with counterparts in VW Group About The Team Engineering Technical Conformity ensure compliance of all Bentley vehicles with applicable legislation to enable their sale. In addition, they safeguard the end customer and the Bentley brand by ensuring errors in the design and development process are prevented from becoming consequential.
