Responsibilities To secure high quality teaching, effective use of resources and improve standards of learning and achievement for all students in consultation with the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and HOF To teach Art and Design to groups of students from all abilities according to their educational needs and levels of ability, to include GCSE provision In consultation with the HeadteacherSLT undertake other identified areas of responsibility as necessary to ensure effective delivery of the school’s curriculum To evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning in Art and Design and progress towards meeting agreed targets across the school relentlessly focusing on the improving of teaching and learning To secure, in collaboration with the SLT, high standards of teaching and learning in Art and Design Contribute to a lively and stimulating environment within the Art and Design department Qualifications Required Teaching qualification (QTS) Previous experience of teaching Art and Design About The School New Barn School offers a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum to boys and girls, aged 6 – 19 years who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health complexities.
