You will operate as a partner to the business to proactively identify opportunities whilst raising challenges to ensure commercial strategy delivers optimal returns to the business. You will use your experience to generate insight to support decision making and leverage your leadership skills to contribute to the success of the Oncology team. Responsibilities include: Ensuring the teams maintain a focused strategy through fact-based analysis & data-driven decision making Leading the business to make the best, informed, strategic and tactical decisions by drawing on expert resources and high levels of analytical skill and commercial judgment Business partnering on the review of business performance, working to bring a clear view of critical indicators and using the results to raise questions and support or challenge strategy Ensure teams are focussed on performance via KPI setting and measuring success through input, lead and lag measures Implement patient-based forecasting for planning cycles (in 3-way team alongside Finance Partner, led by Brand Manager) Consult and lead business through Sales Force Incentive scheme design & target setting (alongside Sales Force Incentive Manager) Consult with key stakeholders on account planning strategy Proactively analyse relevant data (including activity, sales, market research, etc) to drive recommendations for business actions to improve performance Feedback “customer need” to the Data Engineers to ensure data setup is fit for purpose to drive adoption Lead on self-service analytics strategy to ensure sales and marketing teams have clear, concise dashboards Flag opportunities to Data science for advanced analytics (Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence) Lead engagement with 3rd party suppliers (e.g. IQVIA) for relevant products Basic qualifications: Degree or equivalent in life sciences, economics, finance or alternative analytical subject A passion for technology, digital & data and the improvements in working that they can drive Strong analytical skills and experience using analysis to solve business problems Excellent competence with Excel (e.g. PivotTables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS etc) Excellent commercial judgment, and an instinct for understanding business drivers and spotting the right business questions Ability to effectively visualise & present data for storytelling Ability to apply objectivity and rigor to problem solving Preferred qualifications: Commercial experience (marketing, sales, market access etc) Experience in Oncology Experience with using and developing reports in a modern BI system (e.g. Qlik, PowerBI, Tableau) Experience with programming (Python/R/SQL), Experience with analytics (clustering, segmentation, forecasting) An understanding of / experience with patient-based forecasting Ability to influence and challenge positively with stakeholders at all levels and contribute as an effective leadership team member Closing Date for Applications: 10th February 2025 Please take a copy of the Job Description, as this will not be available post closure of the advert.
