Position: Registered Nurse (Band 5/6)
We are seeking an experienced contraception and sexual health nurse to join us as a senior Band 6 nurse. The ideal candidate will possess the relevant competencies outlined in the Band 6 job description. However, we are also open to considering registered nurses without specific contraception and sexual health experience. These candidates can join us as Band 5 nurses and participate in our comprehensive development programme, designed to elevate them to Band 6 upon successful completion of training.

Knowledge
* Currently holds or working towards completion of advanced skills in relation to the integrated sexual health service
* Inter Uterine device, checking and removal
* Venepuncture
* Microscopy
* Sexual and contraception history
* Partner notification
* Patient Group Directions
* Research awareness
Qualifications
* Experience of supporting teaching & learning in a clinical environment
* First level Registered Nurse.
* Evidence at continuing training & education within speciality
* Recognisable contraception and sexual health qualification
* Currently holds or working towards Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health Diploma or equivalent, in line with Trust and commissioning requirements
* Relevant degree to role
Experience
* Clinical experience within Integrated Sexual Health Services at a senior level
* Excellent organisational skills
* Good interpersonal & organisational skills
* Experience in delivery of autonomous nurse led clinics
* Experience in the management of safeguarding/child sexual exploitation (CSE) case management
Further Training
* All Mandatory Updates including annual safeguarding training requirements
* Other training necessary for the role
Contractual Requirements
* Ability to travel to various locations within hospital and community settings
* Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service
* Need to be able to work across seven day services provision
