We are looking for an experienced CRM cardiac physiologist to join our team. Your duties will include assisting with the implants of permanent pacemakers, implantable loop and complex devices and being responsible as the lead role during simple and complex device follow-up clinics, optimizing devices and escalating findings where necessary. Experience in electrophysiology would be an advantage but not essential. Opportunity to work in the invasive Cardiac Catheter Laboratory service, performing unsupervised monitoring of invasive intra-cardiac pressures, ECG intracoronary imaging on clinically high-risk cardiac patients.
Main duties of the job
1. Opportunity to work towards assisting the cardiologist during Electrophysiology procedures including ablation and implantation of permanent pacemaker, implantable loop and complex device implants.
2. Assist the Cardiologist on the insertion of Permanent Pacemaker, implantable loop and complex devices and be responsible for checks in the pacing follow-up clinic.
3. Alerting Physician immediately of any changes in parameters.
4. Act in the lead role during simple and complex device follow-up clinics, optimizing devices and escalating findings where necessary.
5. Take responsibility to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and defibrillation on patients in an emergency situation.
6. Perform a supervisory/lead role and provide technical support in Technician Led Cardiac Exercise Tolerance tests (ETT).
7. Analyse and report the results of the procedure, in accordance with National and Departmental protocols and procedures.
8. Prepare, hook up to patients, remove, download and analyse the recordings, then report without supervision 24-hour ambulatory ECG recorders, Blood pressure recorders and Cardiac event recorders, according to the departmental procedure and protocol.
9. Be familiar with current developments in the field of Cardiology.

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
* Degree in Clinical Physiology or equivalent.
* British Heart Rhythm Society (BHRS), EHRA AP or International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) accredited.
* ASCST (parts 1 & 2) or equivalent.
* ILS certificate.
Desirable
* ALS.
* A1 Assessors award.
* Registration for RCCP.
Experience
Essential
* Significant experience as a Specialised Cardiac Physiologist.
* Highly specialised and advanced knowledge of CRM devices, procedures and troubleshooting.
Desirable
* Supervision of staff.
* Assist with the day-to-day running of the department.
* Teaching and development of staff.
