Year 5 Teacher required in a Catholic Primary School in Blackburn QTS is a necessity and experience with the Key Stage 2 Curriculum is required Full time class teacher role from Easter to Summer Catholic Ethos must be upheld A Catholic Primary school in the heart of Blackburn have contacted Teaching Personnel in order to shortlist and appoint a teacher on a temporary basis. The role will be to commence from the April 2025 and run until the end of the Summer. The Head teacher is keen to move quickly with this appointment however she needs to ensure that the correct practitioner is appointed. She noted that she would like a teacher who has already had experience with the Key Stage 2 Curriculum and preferably someone with a specialism in Key Stage 2. The school does also have a strong Catholic Ethos and this is something the school are proud of and would like to upkeep. Having said this, they are not necessarily looking for a practitioner who is Catholic but would potentially need the appointed candidate to uphold the faith. Within the class, there are 30 children with various needs and range from lower to higher ability for the age group. The expectation will be that you undertake the full role of the class teacher; planning, delivering and assessing the needs of the children. There will be opportunities to plan within the week and take release time to ensure all planning and marking is covered. The role will be full time The school is graded GOOD by Ofsted. But will be subject to a re-inspection in the next year or so. This means it will be essential that the appointed teacher is prepared and experienced enough to confidently cope with the high expectations in school.
