Position: Head of Transition and Service Design - Technology - Counter Terrorism Policing HQ
Salary: Starting at £90,336 including allowances of £2,928. Breakdown: £87,408 basic, with annual increases up to £96,341, plus location allowance of £1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.
Summary: The Head of Transition and Service Design leads a team responsible for designing end-to-end service journeys, ensuring user goals are met and policy intents are delivered through complex technical solutions. Responsibilities include creating or modifying transactions, products, and content across digital and offline channels within CTP HQ and partner organizations.
The role involves flexible work on IT solutions within the DDaT and Change portfolios, oversight of multiple programmes/projects, and collaboration with partner agencies. The post reports to the Head of Technology and works closely with various senior leaders and project teams.
This position requires an expert practitioner with broad industry experience, capable of defining best practices, influencing, leading, and mentoring others. Key responsibilities include influencing design and organizational strategy, collaborating across government, and ensuring effective service transition planning and coordination.
Line management includes overseeing Service Design and Transition SMEs (both contract and FTE), operating within a matrix management model.
