Job Title: Admin Assistant – Building Control
Salary: £19,000 – £22,000 depending on experience
The Company:
YDBC Ltd is an Approved Inspector, with offices in Horsforth and Darlington. YDBC was established in 2009 to provide a professional and friendly straightforward approach to ensure projects meet the ever-changing demands of building regulations.
YDBC is part of the C80 Group, a fast-growing integrated building consultancy offering services in building compliance, building control, energy assessment, and M&E design spaces. We currently consist of four businesses: C80 Solutions, YDBC Building Control, Ask Building Control, and Stewarts Building Services Consultancy.

The Role
The company currently has a position available for an Administrator based in Horsforth or Birstall. Candidates must have a confident and professional telephone manner, have administration experience in building control, and be fully proficient in all forms of IT. The Administrator will be the first point of contact for new customers.
Responsibilities
* Generating and issuing 28, 60, and 90-day letters to clients via the system and recording all responses in the relevant file
* Generating and submitting Final Certificates to local authorities/clients
* Chasing up quotes via the automated system and recording all responses archiving where required
* Processing fee payments – taking payments by card
* General admin duties including filing, answering calls, and taking messages
In due course, the role will expand to include the following:
* Processing new applications and submitting Initial Notices to local authorities
* Sending water/fire/structural consultations out and processing the responses to these consultations
* Generating and submitting Plans Certificates to local authorities/agents/clients
* Following up on completion inspections/reminding clients of completion information requirements/time restrictions
* Submitting extension of time letters/notices of cancellation to local authorities

* Experience working in building control
* Self-motivated, organized with a high degree of accuracy
* Ability to work on own initiative
