We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who will complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This will involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals, groups or whole classes including monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on pupils achievement, progress and development. A key aspect of the role will be your involvement in supporting our SENDCO, Mrs Wedge. You will support Mrs Wedge with monitoring IEPs, completion of external agency paperwork, liaison with external agencies, preparation of annual review paperwork, supporting with annual review meetings and completing interventions with children as required. The successful candidate will: Have the ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential Assess the needs of pupils and use detailed knowledge and specialist skills to support pupils’ learning Have a strong knowledge of the curriculum Organise and manage appropriate learning environment and resources Have the ability to support pupils working at all levels and promote inclusion within the classroom A passion for supporting pupils with SEND Be committed to raising attainment, achievement and progress Ensure all pupils have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop Be committed to working within a team to continue to provide high quality services for our pupils and families.
