Main duties of the job
* Responsible for assisting the qualified nursing team with setting up of the clinical area.
* Looking after patients pre and post procedure and reporting any concerns to the nursing team.
* Working as part of the multi-disciplinary team to maintain high levels of patient care and dignity.
* Contribute to clerical duties when required.
* Contribute to cleaning and housekeeping within the department.
* Ensure stock is available as required.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
* Have recognised qualifications in Maths and English at Grade 3-2 (GCSE grade D-E, Functional Skills Level 1)
* To work a minimum of 37.5 hours per week
* Willingness to undertake and complete the apprenticeship course within 18 months
* Ability to communicate with members of the public and colleagues
* Presents self as courteous, respectful and helpful
* Ability to work effectively under direct supervision, as part of the multi-disciplinary team
* Basic IT skills
* GCSEs in English and Maths at Grades 9-4 (or A*-C or Level 2 Functional Skills or equivalent)
* Previous experience in a healthcare environment
