The role requires hands-on experience in cybersecurity tools and methodologies, secure coding, cloud security, and DevOps practices. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a small cross-functional team to enhance automotive security resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
Operationalising SIEM and SOAR platforms
* Operate and optimise existing SIEM and SOAR platforms (eg: LogPoint, Splunk, ELK) to detect, analyse, and respond to cybersecurity threats.
* Investigate security alerts, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate response actions.
* Implement threat detection use cases and automated playbooks for rapid incident response.
Cyber Threat Intelligence & Vulnerability Management:
* Integrate CTI platforms to conduct cyber threat intelligence (CTI) to identify potential threats targeting automotive systems.
* Apply security frameworks such as Auto ISAC, EMBED, OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK, and NIST to strengthen defenses.
* Manage Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) to track vulnerabilities in open-source dependencies.
* Perform risk assessments in CRISKLE, vulnerability scanning, and remediation tracking using tools like JIRA.
Network & Cloud Security:
* Analyse and secure network protocols (MQTT, Telemetry, HTTPS) used in automotive IoT and connected vehicle systems.
* Implement and monitor security controls in AWS and Azure environments.
* Assist in securing CI/CD pipelines for automotive software development.
Secure Software Development:
* Develop and maintain security-focused applications using C/C++ and Python in Linux environments.
* Support DevOps and CI/CD pipeline configurations to ensure secure software delivery.
* Apply secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities in automotive applications.
Required Skills & Experience:
✔️ 4-5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations, automotive security, or related domains.
✔️ Strong SIEM and SOAR experience with tools like LogPoint, Splunk, and ELK or similar SIEM platforms.
✔️ In-depth understanding of Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI), OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK, and vulnerability management.
✔️ Knowledge of network protocols including MQTT, Telemetry, HTTPS, and their security implications.
✔️ Proficiency in C/C++ and Python for secure application development in Linux environments.
✔️ Experience with JIRA for vulnerability tracking and incident management.
✔️ Hands-on experience with Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) for supply chain security.
✔️ DevOps knowledge to set up CI/CD pipelines for secure software development.
✔️ Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS and Azure) and their security configurations.
Nice-to-Have:
➕ Previous experience in automotive cybersecurity, connected vehicles, or IoT security.
➕ Certifications such as CEH, CISSP, GIAC, OSCP, or AWS Security.
➕ Experience with automotive cybersecurity regulations and standards (ISO 21434, UNECE WP.29).
