We have a number of Finance Business Partners supporting clinical and non clinical portfolios, who provide accurate, timely financial planning and reporting information and expert financial advice, in respect of clinical and non clinical support services.
Main duties of the job
You will work with colleague Finance Business Partners and our finance team, divisional clinical and non clinical colleagues up to and including Executive Directors.
This is a senior role providing financial and business support to the seniormanagement teams of the clinical and non clinical divisions, and across the Finance Department. The postholder's leadership skills and excellent strategic and operational financial management acumen will be instrumental to the successful delivery of our financial recovery and ongoing development.
You will bring experience and skills to support the development of the finance team to realise their full potential as a high performing and best in class finance function You must be CCAB/CIMA qualified or finalist. You will work independently and will be required to interpret policies, national guidance and accounting standards, to support clinicians and managers at all levels of the organisation with service planning, good financial management practice, effective utilisation of resources and financial control.

Essential
1. Professional Accountancy Qualification - CCAB Qualified (Level 7 Masters).
2. Keeping up to date with legislative and financial NHSi regulations and best practice.
3. Leadership & Management Development training and/or equivalent work experience.
4. Evidence of continuing professional development.
5. Significant senior experience in financial management, including leading on budget setting in a similar environment to the NHS
6. Experience of working under pressure and meeting deadlines
7. Experienced in developing and presenting formal, complex business cases to non-finance managers and directors.
8. Experience of leading change and improvements, including leading key stakeholders across the Trust and own team.
9. Understanding of the NHS financial framework
10. Awareness of the challenges facing the NHS and particular issues affecting the local healthcare economy and knowledge of how to update and improve policy to meet these challenges.
11. Ability to analyse complex facts and situations to develop a range of options, proposing the best solution for the Trust. Regularly persuading and negotiating with senior managers to this view.

12. Senior level NHS Financial Management experience
13. Understanding of Payment by Results (PbR) tariffs
14. Project management experience.
