Focused on delivering Excellence for All, The Hertfordshire & Essex High School provides a vibrant and welcoming working environment in a popular, non-selective school with an excellent academic record. Rated as an 'outstanding school with an outstanding sixth form' in our last Ofsted inspection, Herts & Essex provides an excellent educational experience for students, and a first-rate experience for staff looking to develop their careers in education.
The School is now looking to add to its existing bank of Casual Exam Invigilators, who are required to invigilate examinations and ensure that candidates conduct themselves in an appropriate manner and in line with joint Council for Qualification Regulations. Invigilators ensure that examination papers have been distributed correctly and that all materials, resources and equipment are available in the examination room. They are also responsible for ensuring that a register of candidates and a seating plan are completed for all sessions.
Examinations take place in morning and afternoon sessions between 08:30 and 16:30 throughout the year. We are interested in hearing from reliable and flexible individuals who will be able to commit to a number of sessions throughout the year particularly during the peak exam season in May and June. Applicants should specify in their supporting statement their preferences and availability for invigilation shifts.
