Purchase Ledger Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Finance team as a Purchase Ledger Assistant. The successful candidate will have excellent numerical skills, strong attention to detail, and experience in an administrative role.
LOCATION: Full time within our Wembley Office.
Key Responsibilities
1. Stamp and code large volume of supplier invoices
2. Post them on the system daily
3. Matching invoice with purchase order
4. Requesting Supplier statements and produce supplier reconciliation on a daily basis
5. Receiving supplier calls and responding appropriately
6. Attach recharges to x-hire supplier invoices correctly
7. Update and maintain the supplier contacts on Opera regularly
8. Send out suspension letters during Christmas and the year for bank holiday notification
9. Assist in preparing weekly payments as required
10. Preparing payments for authorisation via BACS
11. Email remits promptly
12. Dealing & resolving with all supplier queries and/or disputes
13. Supporting during the year end audit
14. Reviewing procedures and processes to identify improvement opportunities
15. Filing of cleared invoices and maintaining the system
16. Competent IT skills with good knowledge of Excel
17. Can work on own initiative and as part of a team
18. Interpersonal, communication and teamworking skills
19. Strong attention to detail
20. Construction background would be an advantage but not necessary
