Do you have an interest in Science and would like to make a difference to our students?
An exciting opportunity has arisen at The St Leonards Academy for a Science Technician on a fixed term contract to covermaternity leave.
The responsibilities include:-
• Co-ordinating the use of practical resources and facilities
• Providing technical support, assistance and adviceregarding the practical needs of the Science curriculum, including liaising with teaching staff and support staff outside the department
• Taking responsibility for health and safety within the Science faculty
• Maintaining good order of the Science department and its resources
The right candidate should have a good general education, as well as an understanding of the learning and support needs of young people.An understanding of health and safety and COSHH relating to Science would be of benefit.
