B4 Validation Admin Officer based in Craigavon with our Public Sector client.
£12.86 per hour, plus paid holiday hours and weekly wages paid the week after your working week
37 1/2 hours each week, 9am-5pm, Monday - Friday
Temporary ongoing contract until 31/3/25 with review to extend
CRITERIA
1. HNC / HND or equivalent / higher qualification in an administrative related field AND 1 years’ experience in a clerical / administrative role
OR 5 GCSEs at Grades A-C including English Language and Maths or equivalent/ higher qualification AND 2 years’ experience in a clerical/ administrative role
OR 3 years’ experience in a clerical / administrative role
2. Experience of using Patient Administration System (PAS)
3. Working experience of Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel
ROLE
1. Responsible for providing clean, accurate, up to date waiting list data which reflects the true demand for Hospital Services.
2. Oversee and supervise staff recording of two types of validation processes, administrative and clinical.
3. To contact patients on waiting lists, at pre planned intervals throughout the year. This is to check that the patient wishes to remain on the waiting list and that they are ready, willing, suitable and available to attend a hospital appointment / IP/DC procedure.
4. To monitor and be responsible for the recording process removing patients from a waiting lists correctly, recording the reason for the removal identified. When a patient is discharged from a waiting list, correspondence must be sent to the GP and Patient/Proxy to confirm removal reason to provide evidence of a complete audit trail on the patients’ record.
5. Validate and cleanse waiting lists and patient episodes using information from a range of technology and systems (PAS, Patient Centre, NIECR and computerised databases
6. To compile and collate statistical information on waiting lists.
7. To set up adhoc clinics on PAS if required for validation, sending letters to patients and updating PAS episodes recording comments on waiting list.
8. Deal with telephone enquiries from patients, staff and the public in a polite and courteous manner.
