Mace consult BIM team support clients and project teams with developing and maintaining information requirements and standards, developing and managing of processes within a common data environment and leading the delivery of the information management function for project team. The role is to advise, innovate, understand, develop and implement processes described within ISO19650 series. This includes how the information is produced and assured for digital delivery. You’ll be responsible for: Supporting the project team throughout the project lifecycle. Assessing the current resources on current projects to ensure that they are sufficient to meet the project goals. Assigning the right people to the right jobs to ensure that the projects are resourced with the most capable and qualified people. Communicating effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders. Conducting interviews to assess the skills and experience of potential candidates for BIM roles. Delegating tasks to others in a way that ensures they are completed effectively. Developing BIM execution plan (BEP). Developing the client's digital handover strategy. Developing and maintaining an understanding of ISO19650 and any applicable standards for clients. Ensuring security protocols have been followed for viewing and issuing of information on all projects. Implementing governance and assurance processes. Monitoring digital handover to completion. Participating in industry events to stay up to date on the latest BIM developments. Producing information requirements (OIR, AIR, PIR and EIR) as per ISO 19650. Producing information standards, methods and procedures, and shared resources. Raising job requisitions to identify and recruit new talent for the BIM team. Reading, understanding and supporting the delivery of all Mace process and procedures guides. Research compliance with new regulations and governance. Responsible for object library development in alignment with wider BIM strategy. Responsible for the assurance and checking of the Information Model. Responsible for the production of the information model. (Pre-RIBA Stage 3 only) Reviewing autodesk construction cloud account management and stay up to date on the latest autodesk developments. Reviewing current technology solutions and research new solutions that can be used to improve the BIM process including emerging technologies. Reviewing the roles and responsibilities of each BIM job family to ensure that they are accurate and up to date. Staying up to date on the latest developments of applicable classifications. Supporting BIM maturity assessments to inform BIM strategy for clients. Supporting construction sequencing strategy using information models. Supporting Mace cost team in preparation of cost plans from information models. Training the BIM team on using databases, analysing data, creating templates, conducting assurance, COBie production, and other BIM related topics. Understanding and perform in line with information management assignment Matrix (from Table A.1 of BS EN ISO 19650-2). Understanding the fundamentals of authoring information. Understanding the setup of processes and tools for CDEs. Upskilling the client team, Mace project managers and design team by running BIM knowledge sharing sessions. Working closely with the Mace PM and design teams on procedural elements and compliance with the Mace. You’ll need to have: An advanced understanding of\: content management library systems, autodesk desktop products, autodesk cloud products, validation and verification tools, visualisation tools, databases.
