There is a vacancy for a Trauma and Orthopaedic Practitioner to join our motivated and busy Plaster Team at both the Royal Glamorgan Hospital and Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda, Wales. You will be working alongside the Trauma and Orthopaedic team of consultants in this busy department.
Main duties of the job
We provide a Monday to Friday service for adults and children following their admission to either the Emergency Department or the Minor Injuries Unit. We also provide a Plaster service to our inpatient Trauma Wards. The role would also include providing advice and support to the Emergency Department and Operating Theatres. The clinic coordinates a mixture of Fracture and Orthopaedic cases during the week.
Applicants will need to be able to act independently within the UHB and professional guidelines, referring to supervisory sister/charge nurse as appropriate. The post holder may be required to work across other sites within CTM.
Applicants will need to have a clear vision for best practice and evidence of decision-making and organisational skills. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification
* British Orthopaedic Association recognised Plaster Qualification or working towards
* Experience working within Fracture Clinic
* Previous experience of working within a busy clinic environment
* Previous experience working within a Hospital setting
* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development

Salary: £30,420 to £37,030 per annum pro rata
