The Best Connection are recruiting a Business Development Manager for their client based on the outskirts of Selby for a permanent role.
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join them on a permanent basis.
The role will involve:
* Developing new business, by way of cold calling and face to face visiting
* Negotiating with Air, Road, and Sea Freight suppliers to obtain the most competitive rates to enable you to calculate and submit quotations.
* Following up and securing trial bookings
* Developing and nurturing the relationship for new and existing clients.
* New and existing client visits
* Supporting colleagues in all aspects of sales development
* Recording, reporting, and presenting sales data to senior management.
Skills & experienced required:
* Proven Business to Business (B2B) Sales Experience.
* Freight Industry experience.
* Good IT skills including MS Office
* Can work to deadlines and handle pressure.
* Proven experience in writing quotes and tenders
* Quick thinker / problem solving.
* Self-motivated and enthusiastic character.
* Ability to work with and support a team.
Salary & benefits
* £40,000 - £45,000 per year dependant on experience
* Office-based role working 8am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.
* Performance related bonus (OTE £55,000 per year)
* Contributory pension
* 30 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays

* Company car provided after 3 months.
