Job Title: Site Services Shift Engineer x 2
Location: Kettering
Salary: Starting salary of £49,098.483200 + Shift allowance of £2,952.69 per annum/Benefits include pension, private healthcare, income protection etc
We currently have 2 opportunities for Site Services Shift Engineers for the Kettering Engineering team.
The job is situated in the Kettering Production Plant, where plant-based alternatives to milk are made. The job is situated within the Maintenance department. The Site Services department are responsible for managing and controlling all the utilities at the Kettering Production Plant.
The position is a shift role working a shift pattern of 12hr days and nights (the shift pattern may be subject to change given prior notice).
The job holder will have responsibilities and involvement in the three key areas as listed below and should be able to demonstrate at least 3 years of experience, training will be given for suitable candidates through mentoring and formal methods,. external source:
Utilities:
Managing and controlling the Utilities, including air compressors, refrigeration, boilers, cooling towers, air handling units, water treatment plant – this list is not exhaustive.
Waste Water Treatment Plant:
Managing, controlling and operating the waste- water treatment plant, associated equipment, MBR plant and water reuse system.
General Site Services:
Managing and controlling general Site Services.
About You
To be able to achieve the above and be successful in this role we believe you need to have:
Utilities:
1. Sufficient experience in a similar environment
2. Experience working with steam boilers operating at 15 bar, air compressors, boiler water treatment and water softening plant.
3. Refrigeration.
Waste:
4. Sufficient experience in a similar environment.
5. Experience managing waste water treatment plants and managing site waste, identifying and implementing improvements to recycle waste and reduce costs.
General Site Services:
6. Sufficient experience in a similar environment
General Experience Required:
7. Time served and qualified maintenance engineer. Multi-skilled preferred or prepared to work towards. If electrical bias, 16/17th edition qualified
8. City and guilds or NVQ3 qualified in an engineering or maintenance discipline
9. Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
10. Knowledge of safe working practices.
11. Experience within a food manufacturing environment.
12. At least 3 years working in a similar environment.
13. Forklift trained preferrable.
14. Good physical health as the role requires lots of walking, climbing and lifting
