An exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer role in the Welding Team has arisen within Rolls Royce Submarines.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement various welding techniques across manual, automated, and mechanised processes to meet product and business requirements.
* Influence the design and manufacture of key components within the Submarines Pressurised Water Reactor system.
* Drive continuous improvement projects from initial concepts to final completion.
* Liaise with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to provide expertise and knowledge.
* Support emergent shop floor issues, non-conformance, root cause investigations, and manage Welder Qualifications.

Who we’re looking for:
* Competent in identifying, developing, qualifying, and justifying welding techniques in accordance with relevant design codes.
* Knowledge and experience of working to boiler and pressure vessel design and manufacturing standards.
* Demonstrates that product and process safety is paramount, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality assurance requirements.
* Proven ability to define, plan, monitor, and control projects, ensuring delivery to cost, quality, and schedule.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Professional welding qualifications (e.g., IIW/EWF Welding Engineer or Technologist status, IEng or CEng status, MSc Welding Engineering).
* Professionally Qualified Engineer (e.g., HND/foundation degree or equivalent) in an engineering discipline.
