We are looking to add civil engineers to our UK Nuclear team to support our Bristol based client.
Missions:
Building related civil engineering design activities:
* Receive, analyse and verify the consistency of the input data from other disciplines for the scope of responsibility (specific civil batch or building).
* Production of deliverables for which you are responsible (design hypotheses, methodology and assumption notes; technical specifications; calculation notes).
* Coordinate the work of CAD Designers.
* Perform technical verifications of civil engineering design notes, models and drawings
* Coordinate comments from other external entities (client organization) on these documents and make sure that the final content is agreed by all parties
* Contribute to CDM reviews, create and maintain the Design Risk Register.
* Supporting the contract engineering lead for the preparation of progress reports for the Client Project Manager and alerts of any technical risks to program.
* Supporting the contract engineering lead for reviewing technical proposals for variations.
Profile:
Knowledge and technical skills
Essential:
* Bachelor’s / master’s degree in civil engineering
* Civil engineering design office experience, particularly in the design and detailing of industrial reinforced concrete structures.
* Knowledge and understanding of the Eurocodes related to civil engineering
* Knowledge of the design and detailing of reinforced concrete
* Knowledge and understanding of relevant Health and Safety regulations
Desirable:
* Knowledge of Construction Design and Management Regulations (CDM)
* Experience on HPC project would be advantageous
* Experience in the nuclear sector would be advantageous.
