The Health Board is seeking to expand its established team of consultants by appointing a talented, ambitious, visionary clinician to join the Cellular Pathology Service through this dynamic phase of its development.
Consultants are offered the opportunity to take a leading role in a particular area of MDT specialist interest such as breast. However, sharing team work with other specialties is also encouraged. Flexibility of working off site, clinical and supportive sessions are also in place and can be discussed with the interested candidates.
The Centre has implemented the Leica Aperio system to develop a unique digital pathology solution placing the Health Board at the forefront of Cellular Pathology Service delivery in the UK. An integral aspect of this strategy is the potential to establish new alliances with specialist centres within Wales and further afield. We utilise AI technology in our diagnostic practice and we have a new rapid, continuous tissue processor, the x120.
Opportunity to pioneer contemporary solutions that will transform pathology service delivery across a very wide footprint, both within and outside Wales you will offer a refreshing, entrepreneurial and naturally creative style together with the determination to deliver excellent service provision that sets you apart from your peers. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a leading-edge pathology service and for candidates with an interest in service modernisation to develop their careers.
