We're looking for an experienced Production Manager to support our industry leading products here at Tosoh Quartz, Inc. As the Production Manager, you will lead the manufacturing team to achieve production goals and improve the manufacturing operations by focusing on safety, quality and delivery. You will lead the team to identify opportunities to increase production numbers while maintaining our high standards. Additionally, you will direct and oversee the activities of production department in processing materials or manufacturing products, applying knowledge of production methods, processes, machines and equipment. What you’ll do at Tosoh Quartz. Lead production operations by recommending priorities and sequences for manufacturing products, utilizing knowledge of production processes and methods, machine and equipment capabilities and staffing requirements. Help lead the implementation of LEAN principles within factory. Focus on adopting 6S, Value Stream Mapping, and waste reduction via Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen activity. Achieve targeted growth through LEAN methodology and best practices within manufacturing. Execute on productions schedules and specifications to ensure product quality and on-time delivery. Ensure all production information is effectively communicated to leadership and production team. Create a safety-minded environment and ensure all safety policies and followed. Track and control rejects in production operations. Ensure Time and Attendance maintenance (scheduling, on time, breaks, and lunch) for all employees. Review all PTO requests to ensure no disruption in production schedules. Ensure training requirements are met and well documented. Who you are. Minimum requirements: LEAN implementation and Kaizen event experience. Ability to read and interpret work orders, technical drawings, detailed sketches, technical manuals, and an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or other form. Experience Inspecting, examining and observing for obvious product or equipment defects. Strong communication and computer skills. Understanding of value stream mapping in a production environment. Experience monitoring key process indicators for production area. We’d love to see: Familiarity with GD&T.
