Job Title: KS3 LAC Intervention Tutor Location: East of England, Essex, High Ongar Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Part-Time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour Job Duties: Provide tailored academic support to Key Stage 3 (KS3) Looked After Children (LAC) in a one-on-one or small group setting Develop and implement individualised learning plans based on students' needs and goals Monitor and assess students' progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary to ensure academic improvement Collaborate with school staff, social workers, and parents to support the overall well-being and educational development of LAC students Required Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience working with Looked After Children (LAC) or vulnerable young people Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Education: Bachelor's degree in Education or related field Experience: Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably with LAC students Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of the UK education system and curriculum for Key Stage 3 Ability to create engaging and effective learning activities Strong assessment and feedback skills Preferred Qualifications: Additional training in supporting children with special educational needs Experience working in a multi-agency team environment Working Conditions: This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis, supporting LAC students in an educational setting.
