The AFLW Lead Trainer is responsible for managing all sports trainer duties at AFLW games and organizing trainers across the AFLW program. Reporting to the AFL Lead Trainer & Myotherapist, this position plays a critical role in leading and developing trainers within the AFLW.
1. Perform sports trainer duties at all AFLW games & training sessions, including hydration, strapping, and first aid.
2. Assist in rostering all AFLW shifts and act as the key contact for casual trainers.
3. Provide guidance and support to casual trainers on game day.
4. Uphold best practice systems and procedures to ensure elite support in a high-performing environment.
About you
* Experience working in an elite sporting environment.
* Exceptional work ethic with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
* Clear communication skills with athletes, coaches, and management.
* Ability to build positive connections.
* Flexibility in working hours.
* Physically fit and able to lift at least 20kgs safely.
* Sports trainer certification – Level 1 SMA sports trainer.
* Level 1 First aid certificate (CPR).
