If influencing the future shape of national pharmacy contracts across the UK is interesting to you, then this role will put you front and centre in the development of future NHS community pharmacy practice. Given the role is national, occasional travel across the UK and Crown Dependencies is necessary to see and understand Boots pharmacy operations and attend external meetings and conferences. About the role Based out of the Nottingham support office and reporting to the Director of Pharmacy Contract Development within the Healthcare Development and Public Affairs, Healthcare Business Unit, you will be part of a small team leading the development of the 7 national community pharmacy contracts across the UK and Crown Dependencies of Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man. This leadership role is focused on: • Providing all Boots reps on negotiating bodies with timely analysis and positions to inform their contribution to national negotiations. • Delivering thought leadership through external working groups within the sector and across primary care. • Creating solutions to overcome contracting challenges and influencing national healthcare policies with external stakeholders (NHS, government officials, pharmacy sector colleagues) • Fostering and strengthening the robust external network the business already has with external stakeholders, building advocacy and influence.
