NBCUniversal is looking for highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Product Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role will contribute to the evolution of our data platform into a truly international product. Partnership with international teams and openness to the latest ideas in data technology is essential to the success of the role.
As a member of the Decision Sciences team, highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Product Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis. As a Data Product Analyst, you will play a critical role in guiding product development and strategy through data-driven insights.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform product decisions and strategies.
* Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to develop data-driven strategies that enhance product performance and user experience.
* Monitor and analyze product performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and suggesting actionable solutions.
* Conduct competitive analysis and market research to understand industry trends and inform product development.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and sales, to ensure data-driven product development.
* Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data by implementing robust data governance practices.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science or engineering, or focus on data/statistical analysis or equivalent experience highly desired
* 3 – 5 years of experience working with complex data sets across a broad range of domains. Knowledge of financial, video streaming and analytical data sets such as Adobe will be advantageous.
* Detail and results oriented, able to write detailed specs and analyze data to justify product decisions, and apply key learnings
* Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar. Experience with programming languages such as Python or R is a plus.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data findings in a clear and concise manner.
* Understanding of business strategy and product management principles.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
