Job summary – What to expect: We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our Global Trade Compliance team, ensuring customs compliance for all import and export activities within the Cooper group of companies. This role involves supporting the Senior Manager, Global Trade Compliance and Logistics, the Senior Customs Compliance Analyst, and the Global Trade Compliance Team in the daily operations of import and export compliance. Essential Functions & Accountabilities: Checking import documentation for valuation and procedural accuracy and compliance Collaborates with brokers and freight forwarders to ensure expeditious release of imports both in the UK and the EU Assist in the day-to-day operation of the Customs Warehouse, Customs Freight Simplified Procedures (CFSP) and any other HMRC Simplified Procedures Assisting with interdepartmental audits as it pertains to Customs Compliance Checking and coding invoices for payment Supporting the Export Shipping Team with queries Support for Ship Request queries Following up with Export Shipping for proof of export requirements to ensure correct VAT accountability Responsible for determining HTS codes Deferment projections for Tax and Treasury. Cross checking deferment values against the record of VAT paid on imported goods. A full job description is available upon request. About you: We are looking for someone who possesses high numerical skills, exceptional attention to detail, a strong commitment to internal customer service, and proficiency in Microsoft application Experience & Education: Required Experience in classification of goods. Reviewing, checking and coding of invoices. Intermediate skill in the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Preferred Experience of working within an Export/Import environment. Experience of Customs Compliance Regulations. Operating a Customs Warehouse. Inputting Import entries.
