Responsibilities:
* Developing and delivering a comprehensive Geography curriculum
* Managing and mentoring a team of Geography teachers
* Monitoring student progress and implementing interventions when necessary
* Organising field trips and extracurricular activities related to Geography
* Collaborating with other department heads to ensure cross-curricular links
Minimum Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
* Bachelor's degree in Geography or related field
Desired Skills:
* Adaptable and able to handle challenging situations
* Strong subject knowledge in Geography
* Patient and able to work with students of varying abilities
* Resilient and able to cope with the demands of the role
* Effective classroom management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's degree in Education or Geography
* Leadership or management qualification
This role will primarily be based in a school environment, with regular classroom teaching and administrative responsibilities. Occasional travel for field trips and meetings may be required.
