Role Summary As a Quality and Compliance Assistant Project Manager for our solar farm projects, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of construction quality, safety, and compliance throughout all phases of the project. You will manage a small portfolio of Site Quality Engineers collaborating closely with the construction team and contractors to ensure the implementation of quality control measures from the office in Bristol. This involves reviewing Employees requirements and inspections and assisting in the solution of any issues that may arise during the design and construction process. With the overall aim in delivering successful and efficient solar farm projects that meets all regulatory requirements and exceeds industry standards. 40 Hours per week, with flexibility Office and Site working Main Responsibilities Quality Control Management: Inducting, training and managing a portfolio of site quality engineers based around the UK. Reviewing Employees requirements and updating site ITP’s and template inspection forms Liaising with internal project teams and clients for snagging lists & documentation Providing technical assistance to project Traveling to sites to performing solar site visit quality control inspections where required Identify potential quality issues and discuss with Quality Management team to recommend corrective actions to prevent defects and non-conformities. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate paper and digital records of inspections, test results, and quality control activities. Generate detailed digital reports coordinating findings, recommendations, and corrective actions for internal and client use. Communicate effectively with project stakeholders regarding quality-related matters and progress updates. Supplier and Contractor Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure adherence to quality standards and project requirements with assistance from the Quantity Surveyor and Procurement teams. Review supplier qualifications and materials certifications to verify compliance with project specifications. Conduct supplier audits and evaluations as necessary. Continuous Improvement: Monitor construction processes and performance metrics to identify opportunities for quality improvement and efficiency. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance construction quality and productivity. Provide training and guidance to construction personnel on quality-related procedures and requirements. Person Specification Essential Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Proven experience in construction quality management, preferably within the renewable energy or solar industry. In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and quality control processes. Intermediate IT skills (MS Office Suite) and computer literacy Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve quality issues effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams. Experience with construction quality management software and tools is desirable. Full UK driving licence with own transport. Desirable Postgraduate degree (or equivalent Previous solar experience (especially within construction or O&M settings) Ability to effectively problem solve and think outside the box AutoCAD experience Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing solar farm construction (e.g., NEC, NABCEP). Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar professional certification is a plus.
