Job summary We are looking for two enthusiastic and experienced speech and language therapists to join our regional multi-disciplinary team. The post holder swill be a highly specialist speech and language therapists within the specialist cleft speech therapy team. The post holders will be based at the Bristol Dental Hospital within the South West Cleft Service, and will have responsibility for a a caseload of patients from the wider Bristol area, including Bath, West Wilshire, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire and Bristol itself. There are 1.4 wte sessions available which will be taken up by two therapists working across the area. Main duties of the job The post holder will be a highly specialist speech and language therapist within the specialist cleft speech therapy team. The role will include, but is not limited to: Assessment, including providing second opinion, diagnosis and treatment, to children and adults with speech difficulties resulting from cleft lip and palate and/or velopharyngeal dysfunction (VPD). The post holder will undertake the Specialist Link Therapist role for the Bristol and Bath area as well as having responsibility and accountability for the management of their own highly specialist and complex clinical caseload- formulating plans of support and intervention to this complex client group and providing consultancy to, and liaison with, other professionals involved.
