We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting the delivery of an exceptional occupational health service to our client. As an Occupational Health Advisor, you'll make a tangible and lasting difference to people's lives every day. This is a full time position, where the successful candidate will work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on site. The working hours are Monday to Thursday between 07.15am to 4pm, and Fridays between 7.15am to 11.45am. What you'll be doing: • Providing expert, evidence based case management services for referrals relating to attendance, fitness for work and other requests for OH advice. • Providing professional, comprehensive and evidence based written reports • Providing expert advice in respect of legislative requirements and best practice relating to OH • Providing fitness medicals and health surveillance where required that meet best practice requirements and in line with Health Partners’ policies and protocols • Evaluating the results of medicals and surveillance provided, and ensuring that the correct advice in relation to fitness is communicated, escalating where clinically appropriate • Providing (where competent) other OH services where required such as vaccinations, travel health services, ergonomic advice, or health promotion for our clients • Providing clinical supervision and support other team members where relevant (such as OH Technicians) • Committed to maintaining valid and up to date registration with the NMC and complying with NMC guidelines in relation to professional issues, clinical supervision and continuous learning and development as a registered nurse • You should be proficient in the provision of: • Spirometry • Audiometry • General Medicals • Drug and Alcohol screening • Case Management • Fitness for role assessmentsSkillsRegistered Nurse (Part 1)Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health Degree/DiplomaMeticulous written skills and attention to detailExcellent communicator with a range of stakeholdersExcellent time management skillsUnderstanding of own competence, how this relates to practice and where to escalate/seek support to ensure safe practiceIT literacy and competenceComprehensive understanding of the principles and practice of data protection and confidentiality in OHCase management and provision of OH adviceGeneral medicals and health surveillance experienceAbility to demonstrate a flexible and proactive approach to workVisible commitment to excellence in practice and a convincing advocate of proactive occupational health service deliveryNegotiation and motivational skills, ability to accept and deliver constructive feedbackSkilled and confident in creating and delivering presentations to clients and employeesEducation & QualificationsBachelors Degree in Nursing or Occupational HealthDiplomaSalary We are offering a competitive salary for this position, dependent on qualifications and experience.CertificationsNursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registrationCompany Benefits One of the best things about joining Health Partners is our rewards package.
