A highly sought-after opportunity to work with a renowned and highly accredited facilities management company based out of Glasgow. Due to business growth, they are looking at bringing more of the current subcontracted work internal and as such are looking for an experienced Multi-Trade Building Services Engineer to join them on a full-time, permanent basis.
This role will entail working across the entirety of the UK covering Schools, Hotels, Offices, Commercial Buildings, and Residential Buildings. The company will provide you with a company vehicle, a fuel card and will cover the cost of your accommodation whilst working away from home. A full clean UK driving license is required for this role.
The Duties
As a Multi-Trade Building Services Engineer, you'll have a role that is out of the ordinary. You will be responsible for the delivery of maintenance across all aspects of building fabric, including plumbing, carpentry, plastering, or roofing.
Day-to-day, you'll undertake pre-preventive, repair, corrective, and reactive maintenance tasks:
1. Providing maintenance support, including installations in relation to site services, plant, equipment & buildings.
2. Delivering specialist technical maintenance support and services in relation to building plant equipment.
3. Forming part of the on-call rota within the maintenance team.
4. Ensuring robust application of health, safety, and environmental procedures and processes.
5. Overseeing the conduct of contractors on site; monitoring the implementation & performance of tasks allocated, including Service Level Agreements (SLA) dependencies.
6. Ensuring maintenance standards and quality of work delivered are to the required level.
Requirements:
1. 18th Edition
2. FGAS
3. Commercial Tickets - need either cocn1 or Codnco1
4. Commercial Catering Tickets - Highly Desirable
5. Domestic Gas Qualifications - Desirable
6. Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Tradesperson; proficient in fault finding and diagnostic abilities on components.
7. Reactive and corrective maintenance experience as well as planned maintenance to SFG20 standards.
8. Demonstrable skills in dealing and working closely with internal and external customers and suppliers on complex and interrelated issues on an ongoing basis.
9. Must be able to demonstrate a full and thorough understanding of operational health & safety and safe working practices.
10. Understanding SLAs, service targets, objectives, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
11. Competent computer skills, using word processing and communication software such as MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, MS Teams) and capable of completing essential paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
