Job summary Working Full time : 37.5 hours per week Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, the Corporate and Fundraising Events Fundraiser has responsibility for developing and nurturing Corporate Partnerships and managing major events and activities.The post holder will need to be pro-active, creative and prepared to take the lead in planning and implementing major fundraising events to meet and exceed agreed objectives and financial targets. There will be a requirement to work simultaneously on a number of different projects and often to tight deadlines, therefore excellent organisational and communication skills, and the ability to research, analyse and prioritise are essential. To accurately maintain records on the fundraising database 'Raisers Edge', including creation of financial reports, of all events and activities providing written/oral reports as required. To receive monies and process payments using the SOPS. To take overall responsibility for ensuring that essential administration for specific events and activities, including recording of data collection, correspondence, raising purchase orders etc is undertaken. To review current fundraising events then recommend and implement ways to increase participation in, and profitability of, these events. To take a proactive and creative role in suggesting, creating and implementing new fundraising events and activities to generate additional income for the charity. To ensure that Corporate Fundraising plays a full and integrated part of the overall fundraising strategy by identifying potential corporate partners, making presentations for 'Charity of the Year' partnerships and securing sponsorship for fundraising events. Foster excellent relationships internally and externally to ensure the successful achievement of the fundraising strategy/income targets. Represent the charity publicly at a senior level and deputise for the Head of Fundraising when required. To attend networking events and business meetings as required. To encourage and develop corporate volunteers to assist at events.
